Junior Program Policies:

  • All students must be placed by a senior pro
  • Clinics MUST be prepaid to reserve a player’s spot
  • If you do not pre-pay, player will be charged a daily rate for the class (players who pay daily rate are not guaranteed a spot in the class)
  • There is a minimum of 4 players in each clinic, if that minimum is not met, players will be moved to other classes.
  • There is only 1 make-up allowed per session - and it must be made up DURING the session the class was missed.  Classes may be made up only if you call to notify the club before the missed class.

Challenger Training
A faster training class designed for players that seek to move into team and tournament play.  Students will train within the Quickstart format.  We will use low compression balls and a 60 foot court.  This format, in addition to the proper equipment, will create the environment needed for early junior development. Players prepare for participation in Academy.  (Ages 8 and under)

Pre-Travel & Tournament
Travel Team Program

Pre-Travel Team
Players will acquire the ability to master all tactical priorities and to put patterns of play within their game style. They will master the ability to hit with a weapon and change the pace of the ball using topspin and under spin. Players must have ranking (current or in the passed year sectional) or top five district.

Pre-Travel Team
This group of  players will drill and refine technique to advance to the Travel team level.  Each student participating in this class must be currently competing in USTA Middle States Section District Level tournaments.  The goal of this player is to begin playing USTA Sectional and National tournaments. This will be verified monthly by the coach.  This is needed to ensure the quality of play for each child’s development.

Tournament Travel Team
This program is for the serious tennis player.  Participants are expected to come ready to train and work hard on their game daily.  Each class will be taught by a USTA High Performance Coach, this will ensure that each student is being taught the tactics/strategies needed to compete at the highest level.  Players in this group will also have an opportunity to compete against other High Performance Tennis Academies. Player participation based upon approval by the Director of Tennis.

Fitness Training
This class is designed to help students become better athletes as well as better tennis players.  Each session will focus on improving each players endurance, speed/agility, and strength.  Players will be charted and closely monitored for progress during their training.  Flexibility will be a component of this training as well to reduce injuries and increase speed.

Match Play/Junior Team Tennis
This program is intended to mirror a USTA sanctioned match. Students will practice their skills in a competitive environment with pro supervision.  The goal is to get players to use what they have been taught in their clinics and lessons while competing.  All matches are set up by staff who will create a predetermined match schedule.  Match Play runs in 8-week sessions.
