Our staff has more
than 250 years combined competitive playing and teaching experience. Our
Pros are PTR/USPTA certified instructors and the majority of
our staff is trained to coach special populations. All
of our staff enjoys working with children, and are dedicated
to helping tennis players reach their full potential. Our world-class
exposure and experience enhance the quality of each players’ understanding

Harold Conway
Harold is the owner and former Director of Tennis at Frog Hollow
Racquet Club in Lansdale PA. With many years of tennis
expertise in coaching and playing, Harold has an extenisive background
in coaching including: Director of Tennis at Arthur Ashe
Youth Tennis Center in Philadelphia, USTA Area Training Center
Head coach, PAD Gold Cup coach, USTA Boys’ & Girls’ Zonal
coach for 12’s, 14’s, and 16’s, USTA Schools
Program clinician, Philadelphia NJTL coach, Head coach at LaSalle
University for Men’s and Women’s program, Varsity
Tennis coach at Friends Select School, and St. Hubert’s
Catholic High School for Girls in Philadelphia, World Team Tennis
Junior National Head Coach for the Middle States section.
Harold
Conway is a certified Professional by the PTR, USPTA and USPTR
Wheelchair Tennis. He is also a National Tester
for the PTR. Harold chairs the High Performance committee
for the Middle States section and is a graduate of USA High Performance
coaching program. Harold sat on the PTR Board middle state section,
World Association of Tennis Teachers and Coaches, Philadelphia
NJTL Board, and the USTA Minority Participation Committee. He
was also the recipient of the PTR Humanitarian of the Year Award
for 1996 and the Philadelphia Area District Special Pro Award
for 1996. Harold is a member of Team Head and Team Adidas. His
new position as owner of Frog Hollow Racquet club allows him
the opportunity to bring his experiences together and manage
an excellent, full service tennis facility!
Andrew Benner
Andrew Benner, a Pennsylvania native,
is a USPTR Certified Coach and is certified in wheelchair tennis
training. Andrew
has coached at Frog Hollow since 2006. Before his coaching
career started, Andrew played 3 years of varsity tennis at North
Penn High School from 2000 – 2003 (played # 2 in ’03)
and played #1 at Keystone College from ’03 to ’05.
Libby Chapman
Libby Chapman is a tennis professional with
more than 17 years of experience in various tennis instruction
methods, coordination and management of both men and women’s
leagues, and administrative duties in a tennis club for an accumulation
of 20 years.
In addition, Libby has played competitive tennis
for 30 years, playing
tournaments, Buxmont, Interclub, and USTA matches. She
has participated in many Sectionals, Regionals, and reached the
Nationals at the 4.5 level, in 2001, in beautiful Palm Springs,
Ca.
Libby also has a Professional Tennis Registry
certification and have been a member of the PTR since 1994. She
has attended many PTR workshops and conferences over the years
and completed the Tennis University course with Dennis Van der
Meer. She
is also qualified in the USTA/Middle States Tournament Management
System (TMS) and recently acquire a certification in wheel chair
tennis and is qualified to work with amputees and orthotic wearers.
Chuck Scarlato
Chuck
Scarlato, certified PTR instructor, received his
Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Temple
University. He currently works as a Community Relations
Liaison for Friends’ Hospital Behavioral Health System. Chuck
is the Co-Director of “A Touch of Tennis” summer
clinics for populations with special needs. He also teaches
at a Frog Hollow partner camp, Variety Club Camp & Development
Center for children with disabilities. In addition to his
commitment to teaching at Frog Hollow, Chuck also teaches the
Hatboro Horsham Evening Tennis program.
Kevin Schmidt
Kevin Schmidt, originally from Ocean City,
N.J., is the New Tennis Director at Frog Hollow Racquet Club.
He is a PTR Certified Professional. As a junior player,
he attained a high sectional ranking in the Middle States section. At
Towson University, he played singles and doubles on the men’s
tennis team, while honing his physical and mental tennis skills. After
graduating from Rutgers University, with a sociology major and
anthropology minor, he began his tennis-teaching career at Kinetix
Racquet and Sports club.
Kevin’s
joy and desire to transmit expert tennis knowledge to each student--whether
beginner or advanced--is expressed in his enthusiasm and commitment
to his craft. Each student, according to Kevin, deserves
to be taught sound techniques and strategies that are important
to learning tennis in addition to having fun and learning life
lessons.
That said,
Kevin wants every student and player to enjoy and learn this
wonderful sport: a sport of a lifetime. Regardless of your experience
and knowledge tennis is a way to develop a mutual communication with yourself
and others simultaneously. His
goal, to the members and participants at Frog Hollow, is to offer
a solid, interactive and fun tennis program.
Denard McLendon
PTR USTA
High Performance coach
Denard was the founder/director of Maximum Tennis Academy in
Winston Salem, North Carolina (2001-2007). He created at high-level
tennis program and developed three players that gained top
80 national USTA rankings, over 20 players ranked in the USTA
Southern section, and several students have received scholarships
to NCAA Division I colleges/universities: UNC-Charlotte, Furman
University, Columbia University, and Pacific University. Denard
also led Forsyth Country Day School to three straight North
Carolina Independent School Athletic Association private high
school state championships (2004, 2005, 2006). Denard was named
Piedmont Area Independent School Conference Coach of the Year
three years. As a player Denard had a stellar junior career
competing on the national level and playing tennis legends
Jim Courier and Murphy Jensen. His collegiate career was played
at NCAA Division I Delaware State University. Denard's program
will consist of high-level fitness training, fundamentally
sound strokes, mental training, point building/consistency,
and a controlled//aggressive match play style.
Ricardo Saad
Ricardo Saad is a USTA High Performance Coach, born in Argentina where he was a Davis Cup Coach for the match Argentina vs. Uruguay in 1986. In his native country he was a top ten player in every age group as a junior. He played many Satellites, Challengers and money tournaments all over the world. He was also a national coach for Argentina between 1990 and 1996, getting to train and travel with promising juniors from this country that became stars on the ATP tour like Coria, Canas, Calleri, Puerta and Nalbandian. He also produced, from his own academy, many players between 150 and 250 in both tours. The highlights of his coaching career was a Grand Slam semifinal in doubles (coaching his brother Roberto in 1986), and making Mercedez Paz a top 30 player on WTA tour, helping her to reach the masters in doubles. He also coached Samantha Reeves (former top 60 WTA tour) for many years, and Laura Granville (top 25 WTA tour). Ricardo was the Racquet Sports Director at Tucuman Lawn Tennis and Country Club in Tucuman, Argentina where he ran tournaments, instituted and coordinated year round programs, trips and various other competitive programs. Under Ricardo’s guidance, his players became State, Sectional, National and Internationally ranked. In 1997 Ricardo left Tucuman, Argentina to become the Crandon Park Tennis Center’s Head Tennis Professional. Crandon Park was the host to multiple tournaments, including the Orange Bowl, Sunshine and Continental cups (premier Junior events in the world), as well as the Sony-Ericson Open. In 2003, Ricardo became the owner and manager of the Ace Tennis Center in Fort Myers, Florida along side of his brother Roberto. While at the Ace Tennis Center, Ricardo’s was the Director and Manager STEP (Saad Tennis Excellence Program). This program was oriented to develop competitive junior tennis players with a focus on college and satellite tour placement. Ricardo still travels on tour between the months of April and June, mainly in Europe, with a group of players. While maintaining part ownership of the Ace Tennis Center, Ricardo now resides in the Philadelphia area where he is Frog Hollow Racquet Club’s Touring Pro Coach. His experience with junior and adult players alike is a welcome addition to our team!
Michael Esz
Michael is a certified teaching professional registered with the USPTA and PTR teaching commissions. His teaching career began in 1988 in his hometown of Boyertown, Pa. Since that time Michael has become a USTA High Performance coach, a national travel coach for the Nike USA Masters Junior Tour, as well as the USTA/Middle States Zonals travel coach for the 14’s division. In 2004, as a coach Michael captured his first national title in Palo Alto, Ca.
As a player, Michael developed his game in the Philadelphia area and had quickly gained recognition at the national level. Michael believes in developing a solid stroke foundation so every player will have the opportunity to become the player they envision themselves being, yet also for a non-limiting ability to evolve as an all-court player with options. In addition, Michael emphasizes the mental aspects of the game by drawing out a more conscious aptitude for each player. Michael is USTA sports science certified.
Yomi Adesubokan
Yomi Adesubokan
began playing tennis at the age of nine and was formerly ranked
in the top ten, as an adult USTA/MS Tennis player.
He is a certified
PTR Tennis Instructor. Certified for Tennis Coaching at Van Der
Meer Tennis University, Hilton Head, Sc. Certified Tennis Clinician.
Certified USTA Sports Science, Level 1. Certified Level 3 Verifier,
Middle States Section. Certified PTR High School Tennis Coach.
Attended several USTA, Sports Psychology Workshops, Nutrition
Workshops, High Performance Workshops, Effective use of Sports
Management Skills workshops and Multicultural Tennis Clinician
Training Workshops.
In 1999, Yomi was fortunate to secure a part-time
employment at the Arthur Ashe Youth Center. There, he serves
as a Teaching Coach with the Traveling Team, Team Tennis Competition
Coach, National Junior Tennis League Coach, USTA/MS C.T.C and
Gold Cup Coach. Coach High School Girls Tennis for three consecutive
years.
He is presently the Head Coach of the Philadelphia
area CTC program and a member of the Tennis Teaching Pros at
the Frog Hallow Racquet Club.
Kareem Bryant
Kareem Bryant was born in Philadelphia and
grew up playing tennis on the public courts throughout the city. He
played his first tennis tournament at the age of eight years
old that sparked a flame that has not died. Kareem had
on illustrious junior career reaching the top 5 in his age group
three different years.
Kareem graduated from Cardinal Dougherty
High School in 1994 and received a full scholarship to Central
Connecticut State University, a Division I school located in
New Britain CT, where he played #1 singles, doubles and was captain
his final two years, graduating in December 1999.
In 2001
Kareem returned to Philadelphia as the assistant director of
junior tennis at the Arthur Ashe youth and Education Program. After
leaving AAYTEC he became the coach of the William Penn Charter,
for three successful seasons, full time Professional at the Upper
Dublin Sports Center, Manufactures’ Golf
Club, and Middle States Zonals Coach for Boys and Girls 14’s
and 16’s.
He is now
a School Administrator and working part-time at the Frog Hollow
Racquet Club.
Rondy Williams
Rondy Williams is a tennis teaching
professional who has been in the game for over 22 years. Born
and educated in the Philadelphia area, Rondy has worked with
some of the best players in the game. Rondy
went to Canada to be trained by Dennis Van Dee Meer and Butch Staples
to become a PTR certified trainer and has been a PTR member since. Rondy’s
previous experience includes his work at Magarity Tennis Club as
Head Tennis Professional for six years, Philadelphia Tennis Club
for four years, Cedarbrook Country Club for two years and Arthur
Ahse Youth Tennis center as a Staff Pro and Community Tennis Coordinator. Rondy
is now a staff pro at Frog Hollow Racquet Club where he has taught
for five years. He is happy to be back in the area where
he went to school at Montgomery County Community College. A “Tennis
Doctor” of sorts, Rondy will examine your game and repair
or modify your strokes as needed. Not everyone has the attitude
of a champion but Rondy can help you find it!

Frog Hollow Racquet Club
is located on 11.5 acres of land in Lansdale Pennsylvania. The
club has 6 total indoor courts, 3 are Hydro-Har-Tru
and the other 3 are hard courts. We
also have 5 outdoor Har-Tru courts. We are a year-round
tennis facility with something for everyone!

The Club House, originally.constructed in the
early 1800’s as a barn, gives way to a rustic and friendly
atmosphere. We have a great family tennis environment
!
